As one by one
Each unbearable atom

Collapses
From
Within

The heater limps and languishes

Repeatedly
Clicking and clacking…
Clicking and clacking

In a frenzied
State
Of disconnect

The heater limps and languishes

But despite
The frigid
Chill

The heater
Gasps…
And lives
