I still remember the day
you took all our
lives
in your hands
and wouldn't let go until
I said sorry

I still remember
that biting edge to your voice
I'd heard it before
but never so loud

I still remember that wide-eyed
evil desperation
the white-knuckled inertia
more scared than angry

I still remember
that you never said
sorry yourself

So I want you
to remember
that when I apologized
I lied

I declared mutiny

A State of Disarray

There was a time I could say that I deserved to be on the receiving end of your poem. People don't always see how in the wrong they are, often times until it is too late.

A smooth and powerful write, full of strong emotion and spunk.  Well crafted and executed.  Thank you for sharing it.

Bladecatcher - This is a declaration of the divine defiance when disloyalty meets the mutiny in us, so well defined by your poetic work here. Thanks Bladecatcher. Namyh
