       Winter Mere (#3)

Cold-mirror lake reflecting
snow-tipped hills and
   ice moon rising…
(where no road cuts
   the wilderness heart)
here, only gathering shadows
dance in the winter twilight
by a wild wind raging
from a thousand valleys.
The whole of all things is
contained in each time-image
   passing…
(as form without substance)
through the unencumbered mind.

That's very nice. Love the images and how you lose them in the source of all things......Enjoyed muchly!

Yo Secondhanddreampoet,

This is nice enough.  Do they still collect ice off the lake in the dead of winter, and store it until spring?

Beautiful imagery!
They 'harvested' giant ice blocks from Eagles Mere Lake a few days ago for the toboggan run.

It is amazing how a master of words is able to make one feel chilled to the bone on a lovely warm day, like today, here in So. CA.

Your "unencumbered mind" is wonderfully receptive to great inspiration, dear Bruce!

Love the imagery to pieces!

Love,

..."(where no road cuts

~ which is becoming scarcer by the year as 'civilization' tears Mother Earth asunder.

You write with the best, Poet Bruce!
