Kindred Poets
by Linda L. Dowd

We kindred spirits
drink from Life's flowing river.
~ Gathering meaning
so we might share poetry
with those who care to listen.

Yo dear Linda,

This works well as a tanka.  However, I will never accept the kindred part.  Everyone is different and unique.

FAR too few 'care' ... let alone truly ' listen' [to ' voices' of reason and rationality let alone 'poetry']

fine 'penning'!

And we do care here! Beautiful, dear Angelo Terrestre!

You flap your wings so elegantly.

Love and hugs.

I’ll drink to that!
Mmmm… kindred spirits,
My favorite libation,
especially when shaken,
and, stirred.

Thanks for the swig my dear,
My lips were getting awfully parched.

Hi Linda - "Gathering meaning" - As much as I gather I seem to drop.  Is it me or just the way it's meant to be?  Enjoyed your words as usual and am missing Pip these days.
