                  2810 Callback

Ah, its Thursday.
Thursday is always a sweet delight.
Yet, I find myself wondering...
Who was she with on Tuesday and Wednesday nites.

Was it a fireman, an electrician, a maintenance man
or, was it Major, Wilson, Bobe, Bass or Stan?
It makes no difference who was first or last
When Thursday comes she is Friday's past.

Now, its my phone thats ringing off the wall
as I anxiously await Thursday's call.
I pickup and say, "Hello"...to which she responds,
"This is twenty-eight ten...still on for tonite?"

Aha! Having read your preceding "2810" penning, it would appear that there has been a  reversal of fortune, so to speak!

Now "When Thursday comes she is (your) Friday's past." lol

Though for two thirds of the poem you were dwelling in thoughts of jealousy, you did enjoy your own time with her and I can feel now the smile of joy that you carried on Friday!

Very lovely!

It was the electrician in the parlour under the petticoats......Check it out!

I enjoyed this very much....Sorry to stray from your story but the devil made me do it.....You're a very passionate talented writer.

margherita, jealousy...you think so...i've never considered myself as a jealous person.
i saw myself as a concerned person interested in her well being but i appreciate your perspective. i'll think about that.

eric, enjoyed your response...i understand... the devil makes me do things, too...and find i truly enjoy them at the time...thank god for forgiveness...for sometimes i am a very bad boy.

ps...
the electrician's name is larry and i shared the same thought...i believe it was larry ...but he
is a good devil.
