That odd amalgam
of red and blue
looks so very
strange on you.
Royal in its way
still few will opt
to glibly spray
its tint on wares
both near and dear
Purple gets respect
and thank goodness
healthy fear

I think the challenge is well met! It took me some time to figure out why there are a few poems on purple ...

I love purple and it definitely looks good on me (I decided).

Respect? Yes, it's a daring color. Fear? For theatre actors there is the superstition of bad luck, so they don't like if spectators are dressed in purple/violet.

Enjoyed your write.

Love,
Margherita

I like and it is a shame it got buried so fast - let's bring it back and offer a toast to purple.
