Snapshots

The look of surprise upon your face
At the first, uninvited kiss pressed to your lips.

The mixture of guilt, lust, and longing
In clear blue questioning eyes

The moment your resolve began to melt
Small sparks of desire and hunger danced

An isolated bout of dazed semi sex
Inhibitions flung heedlessly into the back seat

Conversations filled with virtue and sense
Countless reasons not to give way to temptation

Opening the door, two wineglasses held aloft
Your welcoming smile, surrender imminent

The mirrored reflection of our bodies joined
Your head thrown back in reckless abandon

The relaxed sprawl, as you drift into sleep
Lying so close I can inhale the scent of us

The set of your shoulder and sway of your hips
As you stride away from me in the early hours

I mentally thumb through the scenes in my mind
Anticipating the opportunity of the next snapshot

I loved this poem, just make sure it's more than a snapshot you're getting. Physical relationships aren't something to mess around with these days. You just never know. Good write and be careful.
