Bones is very much concerned
with getting home in one piece
from every trick.

He’s concerned with having money
to keep his belly full every day.

This is what keeps Bones mind busy
every day.

Sometimes he appears to be
a little detached.

Bobby - nothing wrong with being a little detached. At times I believe I'm there also. Surely would have liked to have met you and Bones when I was in Philly a couple of years ago...

Wouldn't anyone be a LOT detached after such terrible events!?!

Poor abused Bones. No wonder he hates the world sometimes.

When primal needs are not assured, focus on other things seems impossible.

In other ways detachment can be a defensive attitude too.

That's true about Bones being detached.

Bones and I come in one package, as Bones isn't exactly real. He's my alter ego.

What you say about detachment being a defensive mechanism is true. I've used it like that myself, in particular when someone tries to gain my attention by yelling at me. It drives them nuts.
