A New Life

two poems
married and marred
etched by passing watermarks
tongued wishes and moony beacons
the seam to mend; they seem to remind

of what use is one line without an other
with enflamed orange-spit eyes
they jealously guard their lariat
hoping tomorrow will be caught napping
in a lethargy of foreseen moments
green are the coke-bottle views
of an old dream
and a New Life

--------------------------------

Curtains Aglow at Dawn

seeing one day fold upon another
the sunrise so far away from the 'set
and the lover's sonnets told in moonlight
the romantic sigh of spooned wakers in morn
one day folds into another
for one without the other
foretells a sleep that has no rise
and the dream
ah, the dream goes on forever

This is a real treat. I don't visit PIP as often as I would like so when I do pop in I grin an extra wide grin to be able to read you. (Thanks to Maureen, I know who you are. *s)

Lovely poems - and great visuals!

LB!!~!!!~!!!!  What's the haps girl?
Just today I was looking at a poem I wrote in 2000 called Little Bird's Birthday!  What a hoot!

Thanks, Dearheart!  Miss your work: can you make some time and make some poetry?
Maureen is great! LOL  Feel free to ask her to fill ya in on the past few years.  You're still in my happy thoughts, LB!

Vous nous manquez, Chanson!

Hey you...I've missed you! Oh my gosh, I remember that poem! Just the other day while cleaning out my computer armior I found alot of poems that I had (on a slow day and while very ambitious, I located and printed out oodles of poems) but UNFORTUNATELY I don't have that one and wish I had!

I haven't written in a verrrrrrry long time. I don't know why, I just haven't. *humph. Maybe to get myself back into it again, I'll post an oldie and at least look the old ones over for inspiration.

It's so great to touch base with you, Jeff!!!

Be well,
LB
