for the challenge--
/pip/Forum29/HTML/002336.html

* * *

Priesthood coupled royalty
exalted
kiss the g'damned ring
forget your sanskrit
all you know
forget the scrolls
you scribed
and rolled

stop

the voices singing tongue?
You'll hear the echoes
dying young.
A crude palette becomes undone
when something squirms alive --

the sun

swallowed

by a slender throat

virgin to the flames.

Purple applause!

The only things that are purple about me right now are my feet!

Good response to a fun challenge, serenity!

You know they are trying to revive the use of it right?

You rose to this one in fine purple passion lady.

Geeeeeez...it's because of fantastic poetry like this that makes me toss my pen down and grumble, "I can't beat that!!!"

Seriously, this kind of writing is right up my alley. It's totally awesome, serenity.

Extremely captivating in its purple hues ... open to the most disquieting interpretations.

Dear Karen, you treat purple with mastery, I would say!

Love,

"Purple Poetry" ~ I like the colour purple. I like poetry by the Serene One. I like the P P alliteration. It was sure to be a winner! ~ and it was!

May your life be rife with purple passion! lol
