Perigee

Circle then, in earnest, the perfect phase of flight
Fullest in my heart, ablaze in omni light
Come then moving closest to the decimal core
Everlasting sovereign dipped in sweet adore

Orbit follows nearness, molded bell to fit
Aglow draws slow commotion, close in beacon lit
Of sun and moon created, assumed by heart and soul
Then hear returned the music of whom my heart does toll

As time refracts in greatness, the northern lights to sash
Two bodies moved together beyond this moments flash
Before me, perfect circles, turn days and nights worthwhile
Mine eyes lift toward the heavens to see your brightest smile

Return then, to forever, the perfect phase of flight
As ever cleaved together, divined in spectral light
For longer than the future, the course of which defined
Does draw my eyes to rest upon; in loving light to bind

This brought me to the edge of tears, for its poetic beauty and for its deep meaning of closeness beyond earthly boundaries.

You are so uniquely brilliant.

I always enjoy your writing, Diamond but I have to say, this one is my favorite so far.
A keeper.

Your poetic visions erase the fine line
between earth and the celestrial sphere
and put me in touch with the untouchable
