I walked until my heart,
had blisters,
til no more steps
could be,

until my sole,
was sore,
before land,
knew end,
to meet you.

I wish I could hold you,
in my hands
for more than,

mere moments.

But I can only take you,
into my mouth
as my nourishment,
and as the donor
of confessions,
to memoir.

You are the swells
of my sea
my turning tide,

of everlast,

my body of water,
with no,
direction,

bar the curves of your waves
that kiss me with mist,
and swallow me,
like oceanic vacancy,

and void.

You met me on,
the edge,
where heart runs deep.

Where flux consummated,
as luminary globes
drew us,
in our own paintwork.

A tableaux,
of venturesome,
and,
night wish.

And yet,
together,

the briny blue
of coalesce,
washed over,
and delivered us,
from the rim,
of resignation,
to the baptismal,
vows,

of fidelity.

Without regret,
you will always be,
my portal,

to lands new,

and distant horizons,
of vastness,
and,

discovery.

In this,
engulf my consequence
each night,
like you do the moon,

and resonate,
as the sun leaps
from your bosom,
and radiates back,

the dark.

As thoughts run nude,
and the kiss of,
engagement,
does not,
fall short,

of evanescent.

In the boundless nature,
without terms,

as water drowned,
in poetic words,

of white, and conclusion.

Leaving me breathless,
without a vocabulary.

With only the sounds,
of watercolor,
and frozen fire,

and the wings of swallows,
amidst shadow’s end.

Rich the Romantic, I could inhale your poetry forevermore...
I don't mind shouting it to the world that you are one of my favourite poets of all time.

Your poems always speak to me ~ deeply.

My dear Linda,
I don’t mind calling out
either, that you too,
are one of my favorite
poets of all time,
as well!

So let us then subsist only
in the sheer exultation,
of secret breaths,
and whisper,
as words drawn in deep,
satiate,

and linger.

Richy (hugs)

And even though you speak of evanescence, within your words there is the touch of eternity, the touch of love.

There is a lightness in the flow of your words that makes the read an experience of joy.

Love,
Margherita

Richy

We got lots of frozen fire up here in Canada.

Love all of this clever writing but there's hook for a song in the very first verse......Good one too I must say!

"I walked until my heart,
had blisters,"

I enjoyed the romantic trip you ol smoothie you. No wonder you got the girls swooning......(smile)

this has such rich symbolism and excellent imagery...there is a great vocabulary in this write...loved the word choices in phrases like this:

"bar the curves of your waves
that kiss me with mist,
and swallow me,
like oceanic vacancy"

Eric, some people wear their heart on their sleeves, I guess I wear mine on my shoes lol.

I don’t know about any swooning, I think what you’re hearing are girls yawning from boredom (from reading my poems lol).

Thanks dear friend.
