Ting tumb tatter, clatter dish and chatter.
Window woman yelling out,
Whatever is the matter?

Simple silly frilly dish,
From washboard came a bang,
A ting tumb tatter, clatter dish and chatter!

Oh my blather! That ting tumb tatter,
Was it a china dish that chattered,
from which came that clatter?

No, me no my, just common clatter,
Thank heavens for that ting tumb tatter,
For I never really liked that chatter.

So’s well, said window woman yelling out
I shall not blather and check my own dear chatter,
And keep them from that ting tumb tatter.
