The farmer that the welfare
gave Bones to
didn’t like to kill things.

He was lucky,
he had Bones there,
and of course
he could force Bones
to do anything
he wanted Bones to do.

Shooting stray dogs,
drowning kittens in the creek,
or burying sacks of puppies
in the manure pile—
Bones got to do it all.

At first Bones baulked,
but a few good beatings
brought the kid around.

Now Bones can kill anything,
it doesn’t bother him at all.

Bobby

Lessons Bones didn't need to learn.

The shape of futures are not carved out of severe demands....

The farmer is GUILTY!!

I really do feel for Bones...did he ever find true happiness in life, Bobby?

Thanks Eric,

Bones jury is out on this one.  As you say “severe demands” are not good for shaping futures.

However, it did help Bones in dealing with death, and having the ability to kill things.  It remains a complex question for Bones.

Thanks dear M,

For caring about Bones.

In answer to your question, yes, Bones did find true happiness in life.  Bones has had a very good life.  Such things are possible.

Love Bobby

Bones- He should have taught the farmer a thing or two. He learned how to sucker punch... He practiced on punks.

Paul,

Thanks for the idea.

I'm afraid this was before Bones sucker punching days.  He was small, and didn't yet know better.  Also, the farmer was a big guy, and mean.
