This is about a beautiful girl that died very young from that disease that seems to be from outer space (C)
She was my friend and high school lover and we would go boating.....This is from that...

The rain on the cabin windows
drifts like rinse waves in a car wash.
My fingers searching minor sevenths,
my ardent gaze the portside rail,
to see Jazna leaning there.

The summer's marbled skies spread wide
our trolling laughter buffed with spray,
her listing form against the rail.
I tune to open G where all
blues and heartaches follow when.

From sacred space her spirit falls,
a surreal vision cosmos sent.
Devolved from humid heavy mist
her blue-eyed radiance beams
in quandom pose leaning there.

With sudden suck of breath to heart,
my ebbing guitar descants play
to searing pains of her demise.
I cry out with odes and tears
to see Jazna leaning there.

Yo Eric,

It's always sad to die young from any cause.

It sure is Bobby and there's no getting over it completely if it's a loved one you're close to......Time wioll heal a little as we all know but never completely.

ethome - I know the loss well, a beautiful young girl in an auto accident, broke my heart it did. Wish you well my friend...

Very nicely crafted, Eric. Being a musician myself, I can appreciate the guitar references One question: in the last line of the third stanza, did you mean "quondam?" (I couldn't fine "quandom" in my dictionary...) Have a wonderful day! Mark

I still remember like it was yesterday, my first girlfriend in Junior High school, sweet memories of her still remain in a corner of my heart, and always will. This is so sad, and so sweet at the same time Eric, and so brilliantly and lovingly written. I'm sure Jazna felt the same way about you, and probably still does.

Blessings my friend,
Richy

Thanks for the nice reply and encouraging words. Didn't know you were a muscian, that's good to know. Yes I meant 'am instead of 'om'. I appreciate the visit.

Richy

Thanks for the complimentary warm and relating comment. Yes, she was a sweet person and I often wonder how much my life would be different now if she had lived. Some memories are forever and I mean that literally.

Take Care

We all have to live with the paths we choose... but sometimes choice is taken away from us.

She lives on in your mind and your music, my friend... and all of us bask in the beauty.

I know how those tears taste. It's been 15 years and I haven't written about it yet.

Sharply felt.
