Lacking that thing I don't know
pain is an intrusion grown

from a seed of discontent

like a watermelon's greed

swallowed ala la flagrant:

nothing can replace nothing

of expectant jubilance

and thorns by any other name

still stink up a rose.

Your thoughts are always mega-interesting, Karen.  My favourite lines are:

Lacking that thing I don't know

Nothing can replace nothing

These lines are unique and mood distilling.....

from a seed of discontent

like a watermelon's greed

swallowed ala la flagrant:
You've captured the pain here.....What can I say but hang in there cause this is well done!

How can petals so soft come from a branch with thorns,
Why does the sweet smell need an armor of pain,
Where did the idea of pleasure with pain get born,
What pays for a soft sweet smell like a droplet of blood stain?
