when fresh leaves spring from a summer's fall when the wintry wind blows their chaff aloft look for the breath-blast blown through trees so tall look for blankets warm in coverlets soft milk-dew dried on a winter's morn lays like petals strewn by the bride's brigade potpourri cracklings on strands are borne like palm leafs laid ere nature's parade and nature's world shrinks beneath its sod to a nether-land of cold's warm dreams away from the chilling hand of the kosmos-god where all that is, is not as seems and though it is all, 'tis all for living cold winds blowing, seasons freely giving life to them all when life's all is ending |
