What was it I saw in those eyes?
That look as she walks past me,
With a song in her voice as she says hello,
Oh, such a beautiful woman is she,

From the first time I saw her smile,
Though I knew it could never be,
I wanted to know more about her,
How could I make her love me?

Should I tell her of these feelings?
Let the spirits of my heart reveal,
Do I take that big step, and let her know,
Exactly how I feel?

Oh, such a beautiful woman,
Inspiring the poems I want to say,
I have but one chance, and it must win her over,
Could my rhymes pull her my way?

She listened to my words then whispered,
In my ear just so I could hear,
You make me believe I know you,
And that I have nothing to fear,

So take me away and love me,
Yes you are the one of my dreams,
I can feel the poetry in you soul,
Fly with me on gossamer wings.

The answer is always NO, Until the question is asked.
