The still bygones
of occasion
find me,
at the feet of hills,
libraries of rock,
and archives,

blanketed by living books,
solitary,
with frozen toes
for roots,

as,

branches bare
like arthritic fingers,
shelve writ and leaflets,
of miniature scripts,

anointing me
with vibrancy
and lexicon,

the sheer
and the multitudes,
of dream and lyric,

the volume,
the anecdotes,
the myth,

and the falsehoods,
of brevity,

that engulf me.

Standing beset
of hues magnificent,
crackling, and delicate,
plummeting in sprawl,
of souls and tear,
a mound,
a mist, a misfortune,
a lust,
the obligatory tales,
the masters,
twirling into emptiness,
into conclusion,
like feathers and whirlwinds do,
words of past reason
piled onto decks
of moss and growth,
decay,
the leaves
of bliss and woe,
of yesterday’s,

reason.

Let us rake
through heaps
of scribbles,
multicolored,
of calendar moment
drafted on tree skins,
tattoos of nature,
and recollect.

Sentiments,
that fell from hearts
like the ends of legend,
the bread of chapters,
sown from the deaf winds,
and the broken quill,
inkwells,
of drying blood,
spilled onto parchments,
of perpetuity,
on this,

the birthday of date,

the sprout,
of inception,
the last call,
of late,

that maculate,

conception.

The years were
never told,
to be easy.

Supposedly the wise
knew that,
but still, they wept,
as they fell.

Too often times
we sign checks
resolute,
to our own banks
of conscience,
forelclosed.

Resolutions of intent
used only later
as pavement,

to damnation infernal.

Let’s mend our
old acquaintance
so that
they won’t be
for naught.

To halt that they
wont disappear,
and never brought
to mind.

Should old acquaintance,
always be,
and never once,
forgot.

So we can still behold
together,
better days of kind.

Vow with me
to keep that dream
from cold banks
of denial.

Pledge with me
to win
the tribulations,
of our trials.

Hold with me,
that one last chance,
to savor,
what is time.

So that we,
can toast in
friendship,
always,

auld lang syne.

Richy, oh Richy, how I've missed your pennings and personal presence on these pages of blue.
I continue to marvel at your talent, your mind, your soul, and your heart.

I raise a "toast in
friendship,
always,

auld lang syne."

Thank you Hope, yeah after last night, I think I may have one more toast in me lol.

Linda, Linda, Linda, how are you my dear. I don’t know what I would do if I ever came back and you were not here.

Yes, a toast to lasting friendship dear one, no matter how long, and in between.

Sweet, sweet Margherita, the same with you, you have always been such a good friend, and a wonderful soul. How lucky I am to know this type of kindness.

Flappy Nude Gear to you all of you too! Sorry, sometimes my keyboard gets stuck lol.

Thank you so Roniece, I didn’t even know I was going to stop by, until moments before I posted this. And it’s because of the kind and caring hearts like yours dear poet that always draw me back.

Happy Fresh Year to you too Alison, I hope all is spectacular with you up in, The Big Cool, where everyone loves to go up, and just chill lol. You are one of the ones I look for too my friend.
