One sunny day in cold October
driving a big lincoln was old Ash Colter.
Wheeling down Barker St. toward his kingdom
thinking bout the luxuries his money did bring him.
Near mid Barker st. was a barber shop,
man named Kiley set a business up.
To his suprise at just ten o'clock
in the same driveway sat one of his trucks.
Well old Ash knew there was work to be done
but there sat his truck in the October sun.
So he stroked his chin and thought tough thoughts
about how to settle such a breach of trust.

Well back to the office went old Ash Colter
and looked out the window where the trucks got loaded.
He waited and watched for the said same truck
he'd never get tired he'd never give up.
Well after a while the truck drove in
and Ash called down to bring the driver to him.
Then in walked the man with a sheepish grin
found old Ash Colter with his hand on his chin.
He said, "tell me son, you just get a haircut?"
He said, "Yes Mr. Colter  I did sure enough."
"Son you got it cut on company time!"
"Well that's when I grew sir it grew just fine."
"You did'nt grow it all on company time, what's up?"
He said "Mr. Colter I did'nt get it all cut!!"

IF YOU HAVE TO JUDGE SOMEONE DO IT ON THE SIDE OF MERCY AND LET TIME SEASON THE RESULTS.

LOL... Such a quick-witted response should prove to Ash that his employee isn't really a slacker... he's a multi-tasker. *G*

Not that this employee wants to have to prove anything... as I sit here reading poetry on company time. *sheepish look*

Great write!

The bossman should have told this whipper snapper, well then here's your check son, with just a little off the top. (lol)

Good one Ethome, I need to get my ears lowered today myself.

Yo Eric,

This is a good story.

The employee is correct in his reasoning.  Does he have a name?  The guy needs a name.

A true story, you say? ~ All the more enjoyable the second read through! lol

Ole Ash sure has one quick-witted employee!

Ah! The joys of being self-employed! I can even go to the hairdresser on company time!
