With marker in hand
and a no-nonsense look
in her dark eyes,
she seeks my opinion
on a serious matter
(for a four year old)
"Grandma, What should I draw?"
"Ummmm, How about a frog?"
"No, I don't do frogs
but I can draw an alligator."
"Okay, that sounds good
and so much easier too."
(smile)
She gets to work
and creates an alligator
with character...
and lots of teeth.

Dear Ida, your granddaughter reminds me of her grandmother! ~ You are are both adorable and each of you has a mind of your own.

I trust that your Christmas was a merry one!
~ and may 2009 be one of vibrant good health, bounty, prosperity, peace, harmony, and joy for you and all of your loved ones!

LOL, typical in some ways, for a four year old to ask your suggestion for a subject to draw, then reject it for one they may have had in mind in the first place. Nice snapshot, Ida.

Yo dear Ida,

Alligators are good.  Don't try and fight alligators.  They know what they're doing.

Your grandaughter's good, I never met an alligator either, that didn't have alot of, character.

Sounds like great times Ida.
I've missed your thoughts!

Merry New Year!
