       Comfortless

Under a falling star
over bare mountains
in the pure moonlight
just beyond the cold,
  fleeting sunset...
no one is a friend
to the Winter wind.

No one, but you, dear Bruce, for you have written this beautiful poem for it.
Your usual touch of melancholy, which is so elegantly penned.
Love,

Winter winds can blow so cold and lonely.

May your sunsets be glorious and never fleeting.

Warm hug to you, dear Poet,
Linda

Perfect, Bruce, just perfect.
There is an a Chinese story I just read this week about how they fear the invisible: the wind, and not to show fear to those things visible.

That's Wind to a T.  We don't even say the word hear, because we are paranoid it will hear us!

Bruce....I've always loved wind.  You've personified it here beautifully.

The cold, winter wind can be the very heart of loneliness but then comes that playful spring wind that makes one glad to be alive.
No one understands (or writes about nature) like you do, Bruce.

I love walking in the winter wind, but only when properly dressed for Arctic conditions.
