The children sit alone
silenced and repressed
Too brainwashed to recognize
the symptoms of distress
This society has its offspring trained
To all conform and be the same
Soon enough it will cause worldwide unrest

The intellectuals and experts
Look for things to blame
What they don't realize is
the cause of problems has no name
Its everything and everyone
Society's trap has been sprung
Point your finger at the scapegoat,
It will always be the same

Look at what the worlds doing to us
Causing apathy, misery and distrust
Go to a doctod, get some pills
Go to therapy, pay their bills
We are victim's of America's greedy lust

They are killing us,
Slowly devouring our very souls
When we're out in the world,
We act as though we're in control
We're losing grip, there's no doubt
As the TV sucks our energy out
And our hearts are morphed into void black holes

I love the images and messages behind your poems, but they need some work with rhyme. Just my opinion. Thanks
