My heart feels empty
so lost and confused.
Why couldn't we
have left it be
Now all I can do
is think about you
My love for you was strong,
and I thought we would last long.
You proved me wrong
when you said we just don't belong.
You said that you would love me
for longer than an eternity.
I should have know that it was a lie
when you would not look me in the eye.
The day you left me
my heart felt like a ship lost at sea.
Although I knew you were right,
I cried as you walked out of sight.
But now all I can do is wonder why
we let our love fizzle out and die.
