If you ever feel melancholy and feel you have not a chum Keep your head up high, my friend, no reason to feel glum I could never abandon you to fend for yourself, on your own I could never leave you in this barbarous world all alone You are my best friend, and I hope that’s the way we’ll continue Because, I can never imagine my life without a friend like you Without you, my world would be as dark as the night sky Because I need you as my greatest friend until the day I die Every time something makes me unhappy and I feel down Your smile and jokes manage to turn my frown upside down I can tell you anything, secrets that I have never even shared The rest of my friends never even told me that they cared No matter what we do, I will unceasingly be there to talk To listen, to help, to console you or just to take a walk Always remember, whatever you need just come and ask I will be ready to help you no matter how large the task I could never let you down, not in a million trillion years My shoulder is the one on which you can cry all your tears Regardless of what obstacles should come our way I will always be your best friend for forever and a day [This message has been edited by dude (edited 08-20-99).] [This message has been edited by dude (edited 08-26-99).] |

You sound like a great friend, and i wish i had one like you. But some people just don't appretiate the thigs you do for them. I was a good friend, basically like the one u described, but yet that friend never even said thanks, just left me. |

That is really a terrible thing they did to you, Dana. We all need a friend we can count on and I think I finally found mine. I hope you find friends that appreciate you very soon. You seem like a great person. |

Yes, caring for that friend so much and watching them not care is indeed painful..I've been there (3 times actually, with best friends). But you do find them, and then its wonderful. Great sentiment in this piece, dude.
