You say that you're not strong, but
You hold me up when all the cards are falling
You say that you can't do it anymore
But you've stayed and answered when I'm calling
You say, baby, you're too good for me
Baby, you're too pure for me
Baby, you're full of sh*t
I'm just not it
Never been, and still you
Lead me down this path, to
Follow you in your struggles, your
Journeys so full of pain
And when we find no shelter
You hold me in your rain
And now my time has come to
Leave you here like they left you
Dear, and
I cannot go, even after I know
That I'm not the one you need
You're the one I need
Even if only for a little while
My strength has left me, I gave it all to you
And now I'm left with nothing
How can I ever leave you?
I put my faith in your words and
The love in your eyes
But soon enough you showed me
That everybody lies
Even you, the one I knew, and
Trusted like myself
How could I have known?
But still I did, even then
That we'de come to nothing, but something
Pulled me towards you, maybe boredom
Maybe lust
And then I fell in love.
Now I'm left with the broken dreams that
You cultivated
The harvest has come.
