This is a poem I wrote for my boyfriend, for our one year anniversary. Please respond and tell me what you think and whether or not I should give it to him. Thanks.

This past year has gone so fast
We made it to this point at last
I’m so glad we stuck together
Even in the stormiest weather
You came in my life in the beat of a heart
And over the past year never did we part
I never knew I could love someone like I do
And I never thought you would love me too
We are so different and yet so the same
It’s as if from opposite ends of the world we came
You are so outgoing, and not one bit shy
I am so quiet, and I don’t really know why
You and I got together on that special day
And now I love you in such a wonderful way
I want to take care of you until the end
Forever and always I will be your friend
And if something happens and we do part
You will always hold a special place in my heart
My life would be empty and lonely without you
So please don’t leave me no matter what you do
You blessed my life with your angelic smile
And I hope you will stay with me for a while
You cared for me, you showed me love
You told me I was an angel from above
When I wake up, thoughts of you fill my head
All through the day, and once again when I go to bed
We made it through everything and even more,
And even after a year, you can still make my heart soar
All this time, you were the one I was dreaming of
And finally my life has been blessed with your love
I will be yours forever, and I hope you’ll always belong to me
Because I love you more than you will ever be able to see
I can not find the words to describe how I feel
But all I know the love I feel for you is real
Thank you for everything you did in this year
You put joy in the place of my sadness and fear.

I think that this is one of the best poems I have read in a while. Give it to him for sure. I thought I had what you did, but things can change. I wish you the best of luck. I love your work, keep writing, it is very expressive.

Definitely give it to him!! This is wonderful!! There is nothing quite like receiving a poem written by your b/f or g/f (Trust me, I know...*sigh*). Keep up the great work!

This poem is very nice. It really sounds like you really put your feelings into it. I agree with everyone give it to him he will really like it. I know I would. Keep writing poems you are really good.
