Why does love hurt so bad,
Thinking about what I could have had.
Knowing I have lost my first love for good,
It's something I messed up, no one else could
I never realized how much she meant till it had all gone,
Now I just sit here in my room, feeling all alone.
There are no words to get her to come back to me,
For her I would go as far as swim across the sea.
There is only one person that can help me out.
My Love, it's you with out a doubt.
I can comprehend when you say to me you lost all your love,
To me your like an angel, sent from above.
Some people will say it's better to have loved and lost,
But me, I would take back the losing above all cost.
There is only one thing I have gained from this,
Think before doing or else you will miss.
You will forever regret the things you have done,
Your day will turn dark, like you have lost your sun.
So when ever you get the chance to do something right,
Do it for her, your love, with all your might.

I love this! I just said good-bye to my first love and it hurts so much. This poem really touched me.

I love this guy (Mitch) w/ all my heart. I would wonder why he would chose me to fall in love w/. Then 6 onths later. He went out w/ one of my best friends! I thought that I would never love again! But I do!

I love this guy Ryan who is 3 years older than me but hey! Life goes on. Soon it will pass. I thought that I would always be w/ Mitch but, as you never say never, never say always, always doesn't last forever.

I love this poem, I'm trying to get over this guy right now, the first guy i have actually loved with all of my heart. you really brought out the true aspects of life and love. good job.

This is a great poem. About two months ago my father interfered with a relationship I had, and my fiancee and I split up. The reason I didn't know.I only knew what my father told me.I never even said a word to my fiancee. My father told me that Jeff had called and said he wanted nothing more to do with me. This broke my heart and I didn't know what I would say to him so I never called him. Now two months later I was going through my stuff and I found his phone number. I wasn't sure if I should call so I waited till I could face him and when I was him I wanted to die. I called later that night and ended up talking to his mother she told me that my father had lied and that Jeff still loved me. I saw him the next day.
Now we are back together and will be forever.

This poem totally takes the words out of my mouth, im getting over my first love and his name is Jimmy to..i really miss him and hope we can get back together..i know how you feel and everyone else who wrote on this page. I love this poem.
