I'm just a girl

what's my job?
Not much
I just sit back and look pretty, not much in my head

Or at least that's what most would like to think

Maybe they've only noticed my cute little wink, at the bat of an eye They just might see
Things start to change, my ringlets fall straight...They're wondering why I'm taking this place

I'm growing up...my lips are red, my skirt is much shorter, I'm turning heads

I'm still just a girl
But I'm taking my place...becoming a woman
and saving this race

Every little girl is someone special.
