A balmy breeze drifts upon the shores of her tender mind,
And a lonely heart wanders to a lush, tropical land.
She waits so patiently, for she knows its only a matter of time,
Before her feet will touch the beach's crystal sands.

Through the mists of blinding pain she seeks him,
The love of her life fate had so cruelly taken.
Compared to his shining light, all other love seemed dim,
Only a strangled shadow compared to the fiery passion there had been.

The doctors shuffle around her, their eyes filled with worry,
But they reassure her with kind words that she will survive.
Her broken family mourns, everything around her is blaring, hurried,
She knows that all she sees and feels is a fabricated lie.

Through the haze of drug she glimpses her elusive love again,
As her mind flits between earth and a cherished fantasy.
Through his cobalt gaze she sees the greatest of all men,
Her long lost love wading in the eternal aqua seas.

Her family begs her to hold on, to fight to remain,
But her heart drifts closer to her once forbidden love.
For it is her time to dance on Heaven's shores, free of earthy pain,
To bask in a blissful eternity, cradled in the loving skies above.

He reaches out his hand, bridging the gap between heaven and earth,
And she falls into his arms, knowing she has found love at last.
Her feet now fall upon love's sandy, warmth filled turf,
And now she has all eternity to relive a love that too quickly passed.

that was really a great poem. it reminded me of when my best friend commited suicide. your such a great poet. are you sure that your only 15??
