Ten year old boys
I see smoking cigarettes
And think OH GOD
What has happened to ten year olds?

Twelve year old girls
I see squeezing themselves into too tight of jeans &
In shirts that reveal there small breasts too make them look large
And I think OH GOD
What has happened to twelve year olds?

Fourteen year old boys
Bragging to their friends
“I did dope last night and I’m going to do it again”
“Wuss, last night was only your first time, I do it everyday.”
And I think OH GOD
What has happened to Fourteen year olds?

Sixteen year old Girls
Gossiping about everything,
So petty
And hurting their peers
Unaware of the pain they cause to others
Because they don’t care
And I think OH GOD
What has happened to Sixteen year olds?

Eighteen year old men
Telling their tales of Sex
Without condoms
About how good it felt
And how he dumped the girl and hasn’t seen her since
And I think OH GOD
What has happened to Eighteen year olds?

The newspaper reads:
“There is more cases everyday of lung cancer in America.”
And I think OH GOD
Look what happened to Ten year olds.

CNN does a report:
“Prostitution among teenage girls is becoming more common.”
And I think OH GOD
Look what happened to Twelve year olds.

A Drivers Ed Instructor tells her class:
“More and More accidents are caused by people under the influence of drugs.”
And I think OH GOD
Look what happened to Fourteen year olds.

A talk show host tells her audience:
“This women was a gossip in high school, and because of the gossip her and her friends spread a fellow classmate whom was tormented by untrue rumors committed suicide.”
And I think OH GOD
Look what happened to Sixteen year olds.

A health teacher lectures her class:
“AIDS is on the rise and there still isn’t a cure, which means many people are dying and will die from AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.”
And think OH GOD
Look what happened to Eighteen year olds.
