There you stand
Across the room
My identity --
Only you can assume
Those handsome brown eyes
That captivating face
Whenever I envision your tender smile
I fantasize of melting
In your warm, gentle embrace
I can't help but
Stare
I'd follow a guy like you
Anywhere
Every time that I feel
You are near
My knees weaken
For only you my dear
My heart pulsates faster
When you walk by
I secretly conceal the pleasure that your
Alluring smile brings
And, Baby, that's no lie

Of course there is always
The thought of being turn down
I sit in uncertainty and wonder if
You'd still be around
My desire for you
Will continue to burn on and on
But please, don't deny me of a chance at love
'Cause I'm telling you now -- I won't be waiting too long
What good
Is it going to do
If I can't reveal
My sincerest feelings for you
I'm caught up in love's crazy, spiraling whirlwind
And if I don't play this game by the rules
I could very well end up
Being one of love's fool
Nevertheless
I sit here
Staring at you,
Dreaming of you,
Wanting you,

And I'm still clueless as to whether
My signals are getting through
Until then, all I can do is
Sit here and patiently linger around for Fate
Maybe one of these days, I'll get the nerve to make my move
Before it's too late
But shyness has brought me
Down so low
And who I am
You may never know.

wow. that is a great poem. reminds me of someone who i went to school with but never had the courage to talk to.
