Candle, candle, light my descent into sadness
keep me from losing my way forever
leave a trail of happy thoughts
so that I might find my way back
to all the people that I just can’t tell
about what I really, really mean when I say I’m fine
Candle, candle, burn my fingertips
keep me from feeling all the pain in my chest
the uneasy twinging of a rag doll’s heart
Tell all of the people that live inside my life
that I had to go away for a while
Or tell them what you think you must
