Thank you everyone for responding so quickly and positively to my poems! You'll never know how much that means to me. But I can take criticism too. This poem, I just wrote, trying to sort out my feelings. This is the only way I can sort out my feelings...

Torn between two lovers.
One here, still new.
Ther other of the past,
The one that watched me as I grew
From 15 to 16.
I'd always looked up to him.
And soon he'll be leaving.
I'm already gone.
And then there's my new love,
To whom I've shared my inner thoughts.
I think it's a more mature love,
And the past was just a crush.
Though we've been together
For just a single month,
The year relationship of the past
Is no longer my concern.
Yes, this is more serious,
A more mature kind of love.
And this guy I am now dating
Was sent from heaven above.
He means the world to me,
More than the ocean, more than the sea.
Yes, now I realize
My choice was correct.
To the guy of the past I say,
You can go to heck.
