Who's with me on that? I mean to me it really does suck but you really have no choice but to get over it. *sigh* Oh well. I'll push through once again..

Over time, I learned to enjoy being alone and welcome loneliness as a sign that I need to be introspective. Life is full of signs, we just have to be aware of them.

I love being alone, and I love having the time to think. Just have to consider it a blessing! I know it's hard, but eventually, it'll be something you look forward to.

It's a useful feeling at times, because it can help you identify what or whom you are missing.  Sometimes I have found it is a part of myself that I need or wish I had, sometimes it's a specific person, sometimes it a general sort of person to fill a general place in my life.  While you're lucky enough to have the feeling and be aware of it at the same time, you can ask it what is it that you're missing and what you'd like to do about it and often, if you're willing to listen to your own answers — and I mean, take time and listen to your own answers, you will surprise yourself.  It is the taking the time to listen that's hard.

Get a notebook, if you're a diary kind of guy.  This is a good use for them.

All my best, Bob Kaven

It took me a while to get use to being alone. And like the others have said even when feeling lonely, I have a list of "things" I can do that fill up the time whether just relaxing which so many today do not know how to do or completing something I have wanted to but never had the time to do or just taking a walk or hike or bike ride on a trail and let nature fill me.

Sounds hard to do but once you get into the habit of replacing "lonely" you really don't feel the loneliness  as much. Call it "Me" time.
