i feel torn in ways you can't imagine for the last few months i've been i don't know in the midst of depression and everytime it gets better a while and then i go back to being depressed again. i think living where i am is causing to much stress, my parents are divorced and i want to go live with my dad but there are things keeping me here like in january i start singing lessons and there is this guy i like that might like me back up here. so if i go live with my dad i don't really have that stuff but i am still depressed here until. also if i move with my dad my mom will never take me back she said and i don't really want to sever our relationship. cuz if it doesn't work out with my dad then what? but i don't know what to do can you guys give me advice please?

Gosh, your message just tears at my heart.  I really have no advice as I know no one involved or why you'd like to move.  I know what you're saying about not wanting to sever ties with your mom, but I'm guessing  she doesn't want you moving back and forth to get your own way at a particular time because that would be harmful to you in the long run. Did you discuss this with her when things were calm?  I'll say some prayers for you.

Have you tried confiding in a school counselor?  I'm guessing they'd have dealt with this before, or have alternatives for you to see.  I'm sure this affects your schooling as well as so much else in your life.

Yes, it was clear that they're divorsed.  Please request a visit with your school counselor. Admitting you have problems isn't calling attention to yourself. We all do, although the names may differ. It's not demeaning to ask for help.  Actually, it shows strength and integrety through a willingness to face the situation.

God bless,

It sounds more like you have more of a problem with depression then you do with
you're parents
(Am I right?)
I had the same problem (Sometimes still have it) You may not need to speak to a counselor but you should talk to someone. (I have a feeling there's something just below the surface that you're not telling!) I know how it feels to be depressed and I know how it feels when no one else understands it.

I serously hope you get help where I didn't.

Love and prayers coming your way hunnie!

What would you tell your doctor if you woke up almost every day with a blinding headache? Depression that lasts more than two weeks is a medical problem, just like headaches that don't go away. Both needed to be treated.

Yup that's right!

Deppression doesn't mean you're wacked out or anything...It's some kind of chemical imbalance or whatever docters call it!

Being deppressed isn't healthy, it means somthing is wrong and you're body is trying to tell you that.

I'm not sure if that's really what's wrong since I'm not a docter or anything...

And yeah I know what you mean about trying to talk to someone about you're problems! (I was the friend that listened to everyone else's problems and never wanted to bother them with mine) Would one of you're parent's listen you think? If not then maybe some other family member. Starting the conversation isn't easy but I'd start out by telling them how you've been feeling lately. Some adults DO recognize the signs of deppression. I'm certain that if you looked into you're family tree you'd find that you're not the only one fighting the D-word.
(Deppression is a deppressing word)

Wish I could give you some mind blowing advice hunnie, but since I can't I'll be sending MORE prayers and hope you're way!

~Kira

P.S. sometimes deppression can be cured by simply finding something to do with you're time (Like running outside or shopping!) Don't let yourself get isolated from the rest of the world.
