If you know me..I never do this.  But I guess it's cool to "surrender" in all terms and senses..life is funny but I know of all people to stay positive.  Anyways, my ex boyfriend's father just found out a month ago that he has cancer.  And the other day the doctor told him he has 12 months to live.  I just pray for strength and positive thoughts or atleast attempt all the above for both of them.  He has cancer on his lung and his brain, the cancer on his lung can be taken care of but the brain it is too deep.  I've been throwing positive energy and prayers their way.  His family has been supportive and I just like to let them both know it's extended and not to give up faith.  I just feel like this is the right thing to do.  Just to put it out like this.  I'm not asking for attention or trying to be annoying.  Just asking for some love and prayers. I'm thankful that his father is attempting to be positive..I know just as long as you try you will survive.  That's all I can ask for.  Is to try from him or anyone.  I'm not an uber religious person but I know God is always by our side.  We just need to surrender though it's hard being in a certain frame of mind.  And all I do everyday is pray and remind him it's okay to be scared just as long as he stays positive and know that God isn't going to let him down.  I know it's tough on my ex too..his Aunt just passed away and we went to the funeral the other day.  I pray for him too...his strength through it all is amazing. Anyways, I'm exhausted..I would be sleeping but thanks to a friend they called me like 2 hours ago lol. Hey btw Thanks guys for letting me air this.  May this find you in good health and peace.

Peace be with you all,

Kristen

Kristen...it is so hard for us to let go.  But your friend's father sounds as if he has his own thoughts and feelings together and sure about what is left for him to enjoy, and what, perhaps, he can look forward to.  It is the "not knowing" that is scariest; and the loss that we will feel after someone we care deeply for, is gone.

In addition to your prayers for this wonderful man, he needs most your daily presence as you can give it to him; to let him know that you are there to mark this final stage with him, and to add some balance to the new upheaval.

You are loving, and compassionate.  I know you will be there for him, and the rest of the family, all the way through.  So I will join you in your prayers.

Hugs

K

I have gone through this with a sister and other friends...you will all find the strength  because  his father needs you now...and those last months/days will become the most precious to all of you.

Kristen, you are an angel among them. Love, prayers, and support is what is needed  ~ and that is what you are providing.

As I read your words, I could feel the depth of your caring and compassionate heart.

When we are faced with challenges in life, prayer can offer hope and at times even bring about a miracle. But the greatest gift is that of acceptance of come what may. ~ "Thy will be done". When we surrender to a Higher Power with trust that all will be as it is meant to be (be it a cure or otherwise), fear will be replaced with peace of mind.

My prayers are on the wing, Dear One!

Love & Eternal Light,

Kristen, You're an angel to be so deeply concerned for others wellbeing.  I'm a strong believer in prayer and do have faith that our Creator is in control.  On that foundation, I will pray for strength for your ex and his father as well as blessings for you.  It's true that your support is so needed and welcomed at this time.

God bless
