I need some advice, and for this, I ask only for you to understand.

I finally made a doctor's appointment, which I have on friday.

It's for a mere annual check up, but I am wondering if most doctor's will allow me to ask a series of questions about things that are bothering me health wise. I have been thinking about it so much, and I just feel so dead...I am excited to see a doctor, it's sad! I just feel  like because of my inabilities, my life just isn't enjoyable..

Maybe if I say that, she'll understand why I need her time?

I just hope she'll let me stay the extra 15-20 minutes so I can get myself healthy again..ugh...

you expect to get or feel better in 15-20 minutes...

hmmmm

your time with the dr is your time and they can't make you leave although they may charge you for an extended time cost..but  you should ask everything you want...tell her/him exactly how you are feeling and why... don't hold back information...they may suggest vitamins...or an anti anxiety medicine or something to give you more energy or a better routine...worry can make you exhausted even if you aren't doing much..but you have a  baby...that  alone is  tiring to your system...

Ask...you are paying for it..don't let  them just listen either, ask if there is anything to help..they may just suggest exercise..which is good for many ailments..

just trying to help..I know "tired" and listlessness but from a different cause

hugs
M

Not only should you ask those questions, make a list of 'em. We tend to forget when we are face to face.

Wow. Being afraid to ask you doctor medical questions is almost as crazy as being afraid to ask a sexual partner how they feel about you! (I am laughing at me here, sweetie, not you!)

By all means, ask you doctor anything. If they don't answer your questions to your satisfaction, get another doctor.

You hire 'em. You can fire 'em.

I'm with Serenity on this one Meg.
I always always take a list of any questions along with me, just in case I forget.

Which at my age is quite often. LOL.

But, at any age, we can at times be intimidated by our doctor.

I always keep in mind that they are just another human being too..with a lot more schoolin'.

And if the doctor won't give you enough time..
find another, right quick.

I wanted to add too, ask for bloodwork done.

I have no idea how things are there with the medical profession, but wouldya believe I had to see five specialists before someone ordered that?

*shaking my head*

Even then, I had to beg, saying "Just HUMOR me..."

Good luck, megs, and please be well.

We love ya yanno.

AND?

Keep copies of your results too. Here, they charge for copies of your medical records, and trust that it is worth it, too.

and should you have MRI'S done? Those are YOURS. Tell them to make their own copies if they want 'em.

smiling, sometimes it's hard to tell if we're sick, or just sick and tired, yanno?

Thanks, guys, for all your help and kind suggestions. I do suppose fear should be pushed aside when it comes down to my health. I know that my tired and sluggishness is caused by something else, I just don't know what.

I will write my list of questions and ask them knowing I will be getting the help I need.. Because they HAVE to help! Why else would anyone choose to have that job?

Thanks once again.. I will be going tomorrow with my head held as high as my back will allow. haha.

Take a list for sure and when you get to the Doctors office Tell the nurse to tell the Doctor you have been sick.  Get there early and Give a copy of your list to the nurse to give to the Doctor before he sees you.  Make sure your list is clear, short and to the point
