I am going to go home and have myself a good cry. If you hear the howling up north, it's just me. Forgive the pity party folks. I'm tired, and I miss you all. sighing...sorry. Don't mistake this for ingratitude--I am just what my Dad used to call "dead dog tard." I miss him too. send me hugs? I'm having a shirtty day. |

Aw, Karen my witchyone ..... sometimes we just have to have a good ole cry. Lord knows I have done so on more than one "basement" moment. And they could never compare to what you have been through. Just wish I was closer. I would drive over, pick you up and we could find the nearest .... ummm...err....Coffee Shop....ya, that's the ticket. Nothin' better than a strong cup of java and maybe some Tom Waits singing about "I used to play the pianooooo" but the piano's been drinkin' or somethin' like that. Once you are home, you will realize where it is you truly need to be - and we will be here, waiting for those first tones again, those poems of sound...and life. For all that is bumming you know, the good days are but around the corner.... and honey? I do understand. Most of us have "been there" in some way or another...and while that doesn't help much in the way of hands and such, it IS that thread of knowledge that lets you know you are LOVED.... Yup, I can hear the howling all the way up here.  And for very good reason.. so go ahead and have a good cry. You can even wipe your nose on my shirt. Ah Karen, I wish you could click your heels three times and be back 'home'...rested and writing poetry... well, writing poetry anyway.  I don't think you're the type to ever be really rested. I do wish we all lived closer so we could all get together and help you clean and cry with you, and then laugh... yes, laugh a lot, 'cause I know we would. Hell if you can't cry after what you have been through, who can? I even cried for you, as I am sure others in here did as well. There's a reason for every emotion to be expressed like I explained to you, and if you bury them instead of releasing them, they will come back and bite you in the ass every time, or turn into a ton of ugly emotions like rage, fear, and hate. Wail away lady, you are entitled. witchya m'friend.You forgot to tell everyone you can't find your snake. Yup, it's lost in her bedroom. I bet it shows up when its 6 ft. long  Now that is really something to cry about in my books.  |

I understand dead dog tard...but I can't say I know how you feel. I can imagine it but I think it's one of those "you hadda be there" to fully get the impact of everything you've been through. Sometimes the only thing that will make you feel better is a good cleansing cry. (Something most men don't understand!) If you didn't feel like crying, I'd worry about you! What you are going through is unimaginable...hard to grasp even though we've seen the news reports of the devastation. Just know that we here hold you in our hearts and share your pain inn some way. I wish there was a way to wave a magic wand and make it all better. Sigh... Hang in there (a stupid phrase isn't it?) And that snake? I'd get some hip boots and NEVER close my eyes! Yikes! (Please don't name him it makes it harder when he has to 'leave'.)  |
