nodding here, just before I hug you.

Having a reason doesn't help either.

I truly believe, that if Hell is the absence of a "God", and darkness the absence of light, then the mythologicial symbol of the river Styx, is the line between the two...

a depression that is filled with nothingness.

Wanna come color with me? I have felt tips and the B.O.T.A tarot deck...smile?

(the Rider-Waite deck in line drawing, so you can color them yourself--cool, huh?)

Wish you were here my friend.

Or better yet, wish I were there. grin?

You have a baby! That's tops on my cheer up list.

Hey Meg!!

Get someone to watch the baby and hit the gym...run like someone is chasing you.

One of two things will happen....you will feel much better..

or your body will hurt so bad you won't care about being depressed.

love you.

couldn't say it any better or even equal to Serenity, so I'm standing beside both of you, with arms around both of you, looking like Maggie Smith in the Ya Ya Sisterhood...stupid hat and all...reciting some ol native american chant...

Hugs to ya gal...

I hate it when that happens

I have been real stressed out. I find the best thing is to watch a comedy or do something silly.  Hope you feal better.

The dark Knight has you
Sighted, The tip of his lance
Pierces your breastplate

But Psyche has her methods
Of turning away the point

What I mean by that is much better said by Thomas Moore..

"Perhaps the dark night comes upon you from inside or outside to wake you up, to stir you and steer you toward a new life. I believe this is the message of most religions, and certainly it is the gist of Christianity and Buddhism. Your dark night may be a bardo, a period of apparent lifelessness that precedes a new birth of meaning. Maybe your dark night is a gestation, a coming into being of a level of existence you have never dreamed of. Maybe your dark night is one big ironical challenge, just the opposite of what it appears to be — not a dying, but a birthing."

Excerpt from "Dark Nights of the Soul"  By Thomas Moore

I also admire his views on the subject of depression in
Care of the Soul

Suggested reading for everyone, as we are all subject to bouts of depression....

When I was done reading "Care of the soul" I was almost happy to be depressed, almost.

Hope this helps...

It can be VERY VERY serious...

Please see your doctor.

Meg, I love when things, even such as this, pop back up, and I get to see things, like what Ford left, and the cheer you received, the sage advice, the hugs...

When you are buoyed by love...

life is good.

I'm sorry you're feeling depressed.  Over the years, whenever those feelings began to take hold, I'd picture much worse scenes, like I could be a woman in Iraq.  Then perhaps I'd lack an education, and have children I had no way to support.  I could be one of the families whose home was bombed.  Then the fact that my husband was on strike while I was expecting our 5th child didn't seem quite so earthshattering.  My mom always said I'd be so happy to bag up my problems and toss them in a garbage heap, but if I had to go pick one out, I'd be scrambling to find mine, knowing others can be far worse.

Offering prayer for you,
  Rae
