Just a share from a friend ... it stirred feelings in me ...
so I wanted to share it here in the Feelings Forum~

"People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-
centered; forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.
If you are successful you will win some false
friends and true enemies; succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway. -

It is one thing to talk the talk....quite another to practice what we preach.
Mother Teresa knew that, of course.

If I may?

Mother Theresa is not usually celebrated for her wit, but there is a quote of hers that I adore:

“I know God won’t give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish He didn’t trust me so much.”

I think we can find hope for us all in her wisdom.

Thanks, Marge, for the inspirational thoughts. Very wise words.

I can certainly relate, Karen. *sighs* Having a really rough time from several fronts at the moment.

Would you all be so kind as to keep me in your thoughts and prayers? I hate these 'feeling like I'm dying' times.

Forgiveness is a two way street. If I forgive someone once, they should forgive me also and not behave in an unkind way. If my words hurt someone and they forgive me, yet continue to berate me for my 'sins', do I still forgive? I should. But I think I turn away and let God deal with that person.

I also think that being honest in our hearts about who we really are and what we believe in is important. If you say you are a Christian, please act like one! I've seen many people in my life who are so sweet and kind on Sunday or to someone they want something from, and turn around and do the most dishonest sneaky things!! Not a good example in my book!

I think those who approach us with God's words dripping from their tongues but who are meanspirited in reality are those that will be left standing at the pearly gates.

You are in my thoughts Denise...

I am not sure what is causing yur feelings..."I hate these 'feeling like I'm dying' times"...but I have had them before when having anxiety attacks over not knowing what was wrong with me, which made everything seem worse...

hugsss and prayers

Thanks, Maureen, I appreciate your caring. I guess most of my pain comes from not being able to help the people that I love most in this world. I can only sit by and watch them making the wrong decisions. I guess sometimes praying for people is all we can do. I just have to keep telling myself that and that it's the most important thing to do anyway, when you think about it. I guess I'm the kind of person who always wants to fix things. If something is to be fixed, God can do a better job than I can. I guess I'm just afraid that God has other ideas about these situations. I'm struggling to accept that possible eventuality. Well, I guess that's the best way I can explain it.

Thanks again. (((Hugs)))

Thanks, Marge, I'll be playing that one over and over while I'm falling asleep!

p.s. "possible eventuality"? I do need some sleep!

Marge, I guess that's why my "Gumby" analogy always works for me.

Sometimes, we also need to know when we sided with the wrong side and find ourselves in search of the root, once more.

Centering is a blessing.

It's so hard to know the truth, all the time.  We have to reach for our basic beliefs, and acknowledge them.

Thankee, Denise, Karilea, Dixie and Wynter Gal~

Karilea~
Understanding the 'Gumby' approach fully !
Works for me too !

HUH?
quote:

Gosh, I wasn't attempting to unearth bones or searching for roots here ... just sharing a share ... If I may ?

Sometimes others may need to know, that when we feel we sided with the right side in a wrong situation, we are firmly rooted in our beliefs and support.
