Sometimes I am sadly unaware of unpleasant events that are occurring here - while they are occurring.

Upon learning of these events, seeing the offensive remarks, both on the site AND in email correspondence ... the outcome saddens me for this 'family of friends'~

There are some who should 'remain quiet' ... perhaps I am one of those.
But, for the moment, I've just got to tell it like I feel it.
I'm sorely disappointed in the circle~

The Libra in me asks for nothing more than a fair balancing of the arbitration scales.
And sadly, I am aware that this is not always the case.

But I am fully cognizant of the fact that the same measuring stick is not used for all.
Seems to depend on who you come up against and how heavily weighted they are.

I dislike confrontational matters as much as many of the other members here,
and possibly even more than most.

I had come to believe that lynching parties were a thing of the past ... am I wrong ?
Bounty hunters ?  ... hmmmmmm, thought that was gone too.

I've said it ... and I feel better for having done so.

Libra has spoken her heart ... now the poetess will be quiet~

***My edit is only to facilitate the correction my misspelling of the word cognizant***
(I just hate it when that happens !)

Marge, sometimes being 'sadly unaware' also means sadly lacking in all the facts. It is my opinion that you must not know all the facts involved in this situation. To compare this to a lynching mob or a bounty hunt offends me personally.

It's always difficult to be perfectly fair when personalities are involved, but it's often even more difficult to avoid the appearance of unfairness.

Not all forum business is conducted in open forums, Marge. And the final outcome of an incident is as much dependent on reactions as on anything I might say or do.

Some people, even when they vehemently disagree with me, will weigh their response and take whatever time they need to remain civil. They and I might never be able to agree, but we WILL resolve our differences amicably (and usually quietly), and I will often walk away from the incident with even greater respect for them.

Others, unfortunately, choose to respond with only anger. Bad situations quickly become worse situations, as they dig themselves into deeper and deeper holes. It's sad when a small problem escalates into a big one. But that's a choice each person makes for themselves.

Marge, I know that you and others can only judge by what you can see. But very rarely do you see everything.

How come I never get emails?

I guess I'm another that has learned to remain quiet....

had to throw that in here before I leave for work and deal with the "always-right" customers at WalMart. Management must be a tough job.

You know what...? I know that you have all been around here longer than a lot of us and you would naturally know each other a little bit more... but it just seems quite puerile sometimes to read some of the posts and responses, especially when the new guys like myself don't know the basis of the issue.

Now please don't get me wrong... I am not trying to start another argument. It's just that I think that since you all obviously correspond with each other by e-mail, it would probably be better to resolve some of these confusing (to the rest of us) issues by e-mail. It just confuses and disconcerts people such as myself to read some of this stuff sometimes. Sorry if I offend anyone saying this but I really needed to.
