I've tried everything. EVERYTHING! I've had writer's block since- since- I dunno, a good 5 months? At least? I've been going through pages of old challenges on the forum below, I've tried inspirational lines, music, showers, walks, I've poled(SP?) friends and seen how they deal, I've tried! Really! But words are just...lost, to me. I even tried re-joining this site under a new name! (I used to be 'Crysania', but then left when I couldn't write a single thing. I'm now back under 'Amara', which is more me anyway. I feel more myself not, but I'm having every but as much trouble writing!) ARGH!

I'm not asking for ideas (though if you have any magic writing dust, that would be nice). I'm just ranting, 'cuz this is starting to bug me more and more! Thanks for listenning. ^^

As a second thought, maybe I'll re-introduce myself, too! I'm female (obviously, but hey!), 14, and proud resident of a tiny little town in BC which no one has ever heard of. I hope to be a writer one day, and plan to major in Literature. I also plan to open a book shop (a smaller, quainter one. Cottage-like.) Either that, or maybe a metaphysical store. But a book shop would be nicer. Then I could sit in a cozy little chair and write as  wait for customers...*dreams* If I ever manage to regain the muse which has so 'kindly' abandoned me.

*grin* You rock...   And I'VE heard of your little town...   AND ... I forgot the other one...

HI! I'm glad you're back (but you knew that).

don't worry muses go missing all the time... mine elopes every a few months... in fact i have i have only written twi poesm in the past few months... but muses always return.. just remember not to force what you write, inspiration comes when you are not searching for it.

Pleased to meet you! I'm Steph...or Amara, I'll answer to either. Probably to Amara better.

My muse. How it left and never returned, and how unfair it is. You know.

drink.

I spent many years at the bottom of a bottle, it is amazing the poetry you'll find there.

Okay, I was just kidding.  I would never suggest someone develop a drinking habit just to write poetry, especially since there are so many other reasons to develop one....

Heh, my sis warned me that if I tried your suggestion, she'd hunt me down and...tickle me, I believe. :P

Thanks for all the ideas. I think I'm slowly beginning to regain my writing skills...slowly, but hey, it's been 5 months. I can wait another couple weeks.

Hi Amara/Steph,

Thanks for replying my post
Just wondering where you got your name from? The only place Ive seen it in is Knowledge of Angels by Jill Paton-Walsh. We studied that in the sixth form. Im at uni now doing English and French lit.
Email me/msn me sometime: pigletdoglet@hotmail.com
you sound interesting, never heard of anyone else who wanted a metaphysical store if they couldnt have a bookshop!
Well thanks again for the response.
Liz.

Amara,
listen dont sweat it, it happens to everybody, and yes even for months at a time.  i had writers block for almost a year about 5 years ago.  i mean i couldent even write more than a few lines and just feel uninspired,  this is the only thing that worked for me, read everyday, some poetry, a novel, anything creative, and force yourself to write everyday, even if it is copying somebody elses work, it works really, i promise.

Look what I've built, it shines so beautifully now watch as it destroys me."
