Yeah...I grew up watching him....He and Mr. Dress-up were my idols.

That's what we, as heroes, do. We live as if the world were like it should be, to show the world what it could be.

Poor guy.. I grew up watching him too

Oh, make me Thine forever
And should I fainting be
Lord, let me never ever
Outlive my love for Thee

Mr. Rogers was cool. As children, my brother and I took part in the University of Pittsburgh's child development studies in which Mr. Rogers and his close friend and associate Dr. McFarland were heading. I got to meet Mr. Rogers and play with his son when he came to visit Arsenal Center where these studies took place. I also had the chance to visit Mr. Rogers home. I still remember swimming in his backyard pool...the man was truly a genuine and decent person.

He taught me the value of taking off my outdoor sneakers and putting on my indoor sneakers. To be quite honest he frightened me..I'm canadian so i grew up with Mr.Dressup instead, who come to think of it frightened me to. It was that puppet Casey..

Okay, Mr Rogers disturbed me at times, BUT he was nothing compared to that Polkaroo thing. I STILL have nightmares about that *CENSORED* Polkaroo thing. *shudders* I need a hug now.
Good-bye Mr Rogers

The last time that I remember watching Mr. R was in fifth grade.  He was great then and still stands for what children's television should be like.
