I work realy hard to write great poems like "Desert Frogs" and "Your worst Nightmare", and noone reads them. I am only sad because I want to share them with all of you (And I love reading the mesages) so I feel terrible when in a 3 day period, I get one response and it is from Noah (Bless his heart, he reads everyone's poems)

Don't forget that alot more people read your poems than respond, you can only respond to so many, I read loads of poems here everyday that I enjoy immensly but I can't always think of something constructive to say or my own feelings on a poem have already been stated in a response already.
Friends of mine come and read the poems here but never reply to any of them and never post anything, they simply enjoy reading the poems, so I bet many more read and enjoy your poems than you think

Wind,
A gentle suggestion. People often read poems of those they know. When you are new it is helpful to read and reply to many other poets. I can't begin to keep up with all the poetry that comes to these blue pages. But if someone took the time to poke there head in and respond to my poem I will search them out. Check out the profile of those who seem to get a lot of responses. Many of them respond to others ten times more than they post original poems. And it helps to acknowledge the posts that are made to your own poems. A little dialogue can go a long way towards establishing a friendship. And friends read other friends work. Just my humble opinion.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

OK that makes sense. I just have this weird thing about liking to write poetry more than I read it. I tmakes me feel sort of selfish, but I'm just not the reading sort. I will try to read more poetry so you can get to know me better. and I admitt that I don't always read new member's poetry. I'll try to understand more. Thanks 4 helping!

Wind,
And I've already seen that effort. If we're all posters who are the readers? Anyway I hope it helped.

Last week I posted two poems in one day. The first I liked and figured others would as well. The second I had to force myself to post. Well, as you may have guessed by now the one I liked bombed, the one I was unsure of was well received. Go figure (but keep writing)
