Hello everyone.
Yesterday my love sent me flowers.   So sweet. Which got me to thinking how wonderful it is to love and care for someone be it your mate or a friend or family member.  Life is so short, sigh, If you have time today just a moment, tell that special someone that you care that they are loved, whoever that maybe, it could bring a smile to their face.

All of your poems and thoughts have touched me, since being here this short while I already feel more joyus and more appricative of others.

Here is my question.  What is the most romantic, or sweet or careing thing someone has done for you?  big or small it could even be a stranger just giving up a parking space so you could have it, or opening the door for you at the mall.  It can be anything.

Thank you, and have a great day.

anya,

I always wanted someone to sing to me, the thought is very sweet.

Brian,

Someone gave me poems once, and I still have them as well, I will treasure them as you will yours.

Moon Dust,

What a lovely name by the way. Someone writing you a song is very special, I never had that done.  What a wonderful gift.

Thanks you guys for replying.

There is something about rain and Ice cream that seems to go together.

Didn't hold me back when i wanted to go. That would definitely top the list. I hate any sort of sentimental gift from a partner. They make me incredibly ill.

hmmm the most romantic thing....I was dating this guy when I was in highschool and his car was in the shop. We really really wanted to see eachother but had no way, since our houses were about 3-4 miles apart.
Well, the boy rollerbladed all the way to my house. Awww!! AND..had a bouquet of sunflowers in his hand for me I felt so special at that moment.  He and I didnt last as lovers but we are best friends now, which is a good thing that we remained close friends. That's probably the only sweet thing a guy has ever done for me.

anonymousfemale,

Well that is good for you, I'm afraid I am very sappy, I suppose its a curse.

RosePetal,
That is very sweet.  I don't think I ever had something that nice done.  I bet it did make you feel special.

Oh my gosh, just the thought of the sweetest things brings tears to my eyes because it is so special, it is simply when Joanna (RosePetal) first stepped into my life. I love her so much and she always makes me feel special as I never felt before when no one ever loved me. Joanna is an angel to me always!

I love you Joanna!

Oh well, you're fast Miah, cause I changed my reply, because the picture wasn't showing anymore. I'll see if I can get it complete, just wait a moment.

Here it is:

'I think you have a message'
one evening he said to me
'come I think you'll like it'
so I went to the PC to see

He stood there in the kitchen
as quiet as he could ever be
waiting for me to open te screen
for he knew what I would see

And there were these lovely flowers
staring colourful in my face
he never had known how to do this
but he tried for days and days

And underneath there was a line
"Dear Titia
These flowers are for you"
after thirtythree years of marriage
I still love this guy, I really do

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

The sweetest thing? Oh my. I am so surrounded with love from my family and friends and my boyfriend. But the sweetest thing I suppose, would be this one time my boyfriend showed up on my doorstep with a dozen yellow roses and said, "These roses reminded me of the dress you wore at my sister's wedding." Oh I was so pleased!
Another time he took me to every coffeeshop on 8th street (about 9) just because I love going out for coffee.

Sweetest things:

1)I had duty one night at a gate and a certain man climbed the tree next to the gate and sat in it for my entire six hour watch talking to me.
2)On my last birthday my kids blew up a bunch of balloons and had a cake for me.
3)A male friend told me once that I just had that "something" that make people turn their head (that one might have just been trying to get something from me)
4) The current man in my life gives me a card every week telling me how much he loves me.

My husband (then boyfriend) wrote me a poem in his small scrawling handwriting, when we were 17 or so, each line I hold in my heart forever because he doesnt write at all and I do and he knew that I would adore it.

When I am sick, he reads to me.

That sounds like a simple thing, but no one ever did that for me before.

sigh.

I cherish that.

blush.

(He reminded me that I know how to blush too.)

1.  a summer love sang to me in Italian in front of a whole crowd...but he was singing JUST to me.

2.  My ex fiancee walked about 13 miles to see me one weekend.  I was so upset that his car and my car were broke down.  A couple of hours later, there was a knock on the door and there he was!  If only I'd known then that it was most likely the speed or coke that got him there *sigh*

3.  My last serious bf took me to a local festival.  It was my birthday, and of course, my mind was thinking that I was going to get something...well, I walked around saying "ohhh I love this", etc.  He wasn't buying a THING.  By the end of the night, I was feeling disheartened.  We left, and needless to say, my attitude changed.  After getting home, I started to make supper.  He disappeared, but I could have cared less.  WE had supper and then he asked me to follow him to the bedroom.  Once I got there, I saw that many of the items I'd picked out were lying on the bed.  While i had been making supper he snuck back to the car and brought it all in.  I guess I missed him sneaking around the fair. LOL  He turned out to be psycho...

geez...LOL

hahah all the good ones turn out to be psychos.  never fails. LOL..

Jason moved from California to live here with me, while I was still married to that ummm man, and he waited, and waited till I was free.  I don't know if that is sweet or not, but I think it was special.

my current boyfriend, his name is travis, one day while we were just sitting there he randomly said, "you are so beautiful." and it's a simple thing but i still look back at it and it makes me smile. and he bought me a ticket for a concert just because he really knew i wanted to see the bands going and i didn't have any money, and he gave me a neckalace on the beach in cape cod and it was the most romantic thing ever because there were people with kites flying up above, and i don't know, the wind and the water, and he opens the door for me and takes 2 hour bus rides to see me and buys me random things that he knows i can't afford because i couldn't find a job this summer (we are in college) and he listens to me when i am sad and he deals with me being a huge spazz, and he is just the greatest thing that has ever happened to me, and...what was the question? i started on the thought process and just rambled...but love is great!

my boyfriend Rick did some sooo special for Valentine's Day! I was at his house, he made me a beautiful dinner and then he said he had a surprise for me. He lead me into his room and I almost fainted! He had a table set up in the middle of the floor with candles and a card on it, he put about 25 candles all around his room, soft music was playing and the best part is, there were rose petals on his bed. This was the first night he told me he loved me to my face, he had said it over the phone but seeing the look in his eyes made it even better. I will never forget that day as long as I live.
