One can enjoy a nice buzz with alcohol without getting a hangover, even if they drink more than usual. The key is, and this takes discipline, to avoid dehydration. The best to accomplish this is...
1. Prior to drinking alcohol, drink plenty of water (at least a quart within one hour to drinking.
2. While drinking, take breaks from alcohol and drink 8 ounces of water. Do this at least after every other drink. The more you alcohol you drink, the more water you should drink.
3. After drinking for the evening, drink at least one more glass of water.
This should suffice. As for aspirins, motrin, etc...that optional. Myself, I do not take and do not believe in taking any type of those medicinal products.
