Just when I thought
the tears were gone,
when I knew today
I wouldn't cry, but smile
at the love and life
that God took away
when he stole Miss Ginger.
And then I read her
student's poetry.
And the tears are covering
this keyboard again.
I am angry at God.
And please,
don't ask me
not to be.
Maybe next week.
Maybe when I see
through the pain
I know the family
and friends
must endure.
Don't ask me
not to cry.
Not yet.
It's too soon.

Kacy dear lady,
I met with the students today and had such an incredible experience. You would have been overwhelmed at the impact she has had on her students and specifically her senior class.

My daughter was known for having to pretend to be mad at the students who deserved such responses for either behaviour or performance. Always positive and a smile, always. I will always honor her approach to life and hope that she got most of that from me.

Bless you for your depth of emotion and for your unfailing support. Love, Larry

All we can believe now is that Heaven's School had an immediate opening for a teacher - she earned her wings and flew home to Heaven.

Kacy I agree with Sharon, there is always a reason and she was needed elsewhere. God doesn't mind you feeling mad, if that is how you feel, you don't have to justify it to anyone, as feelings just are.  As with all things, it too will pass.  Loosing a loved one, a close friend or even a pet is always devastating, but we must remember not to get stuck in the loss permanently, but instead, raise our voices in celebration of their life, just like Ginger's proud Daddy did just then in his response to you.  Celebrating their life is what keeps the memories alive and makes a life mean something, and this young lady is definitely worth remembering.  My heart goes out in sorrow as well, as loosing a child is the ultimate sadness.  We are here for him, and I think Larry knows that.

Hugs all around, I think this has entered into all of our hearts here, may her soul rest in peace.

I know how this is.
Everytime I think I won't cry (which happens to be everytime I put on mascara) I end up crying about something and I hate it because it makes me feel like a "weak" person....
I've done everything possible to make sure that ONE certain person hasn't seen me cry..... sure takes a hell of a lot of effort.. well, enough of me for now...

OK, I'm a lot better about it today.
Larry, you are always so unbelievably strong and compassionate. I'm not at all surprised that your daughter was special to so many people. I think it's great that you spent time with those students and other teachers, especially for the students who are now graduating, they will take with them many positive memories, reenforced by your gentleness and guidance.

Thanks, to each of you for holding me closer in this. I've never been very good at saying goodbye to the real heros of this world, the devoted compassionate dedicated teachers who daily find ways to offer hope and encouragement in a world that sometimes only projects fear and hatred.
