Depends on the source of the stress. A puching bag (the heavy kind and remember the gloves) works.

I use the effects of stress to excel. I work well in stressful situations.

When not at work or not wanting to use the effects of stress on my life, I use, in no certain order:
Prayer
Deep breathing exercises
Prayer
Strenuous exercise

A hot bath with soothing soft music.
The punching bag is something I need to try!
You need a massage with hot oils. Works every time.

One form that I use when I'm really stressed/angry is take some water and run for miles on end.
Kickboxing is usually a good way to get everything out.

Alternatively, screaming at the top of my lungs for ages does wonders. You mightn't be able to talk after it but it's better than hitting someone...which used to be a stress reliever...

If this is all the world has to offer, I want a refund on my life.

I listen to music (Enya, George Winston, Enigma), lose myself in a book (something exciting like a good spy or horror novel), or take a long hot shower. If those methods don't work, I load my gun.

I usually fire up the dirt bike and go like &$#@!
However, this can be a bit dangerous and not everyone has a dirt bike.
I have recently purchased a heavy bag (punching bag),
and that is a GREAT release of stress.
Just go out and kick and hit it until I have no energy left!
It's also a great way to stay in shape!
It's a great investment.

I write in my journal. It usually takes up about five pages, double sided, but it works wonders for me! I also play rugby. It's amazing how mellow I am during the rugby season

Find a mate and sit in front of the TV, veg out and have a really good moan. Or have a nice hot bath with some relaxing music by candle light and think about who or what makes you happy works every time for me.

Write what you feel, feel what you wrtie.

I post poems on the teen poems forum. Or just go to bed annoyed. Both most of the time. I also just kinda zone out from everyone else around me..go hide our in my room, hide in the closet with a good book (or the attic, no one goes there...)

I give a whole new meaning to the word 'sad.'

Okay here ya go...first any kind of physical activity lowers your stress level, and you feel way better after too.  Second, go for a walk, a simple walk takes your mind off of what is going on in your "attic" and nature has its way of soothing the soul.  Go to a movie, for a diversion.  Above all else, find a friend and talk about the stress, it helps to share the load sometimes.

We should spend less time worrying about when our life is going to end and more on when it's going to start!

get in the car and drive....crank the music and sing away.....ride my horses....write it all down, and throw it away....that really works wonders, cause it feels as though you are just letting go....

Cry some...dont be afraid to...it washes your heart out.  Treat yourself to your favorite music, meal, and drink..relax...write down all problems 1 by 1 and place them in a box..consider them OUT of your head and in the box and when you are ready to confront each one..take one at a time out of the box and on the back write the solution. (You dont have to do it all at once.) Take things kinda slow and mello.

Don't hold back the words you really mean.
