It may be halloween, but I feel like a witch for real. I broke up with my boyfriend today (halloween morning) and all he kept saying is WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME? I tried to give him my reasons and he began to cry and I felt so bad that I was the reason why he was crying. Usually I am the one getting dumped so I know how bad it hurts and it hurt me to do this to him but I have to do whats right for me. He kept saying how much he loves me and can't live without me....I felt like a mean witch at that moment. Breaking up really is hard to do, especially when you still have feelings for the person. I still want to be friends w/ him but he says he can't be friends with me, he wants all or nothing. : ( I guess he's getting nothing then. |

There must have been a good reason, and his emotional outpouring is making you re-examine them. Are they still valid? Then you did the right thing! |

it is a sign of great maturity to remain friends.... i'm determined to reach that level of maturity because to have loved is a true gift and to lose a person out of your life just because the love affair is over, is really a great loss to both people... when one person's feelings change, for whatever reason, it's not easy for the other, but life is about change but NO, you shouldn't feel badly to have to move on... those who stay together because they don't want to hurt the other's feelings are the ones who really lose out because if a relationship grows and changes to a point that it's not the right one for you, staying together is really just wasting time i'm rambling here... sorry... geesh anyway, he'll get over it and you will move on and both of you will love again... each love is different and precious and one day, he'll forgive you and survive pat yourself on the back... it's not easy on either side, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do |

I feel for you I really do. I lost a friend once, because he loved me and couldn't be "just a friend" It was sad. Wanting the friendship so much, I didn't see his side, but now of course I do. If he had not truly loved me, we would still be friends but he couldn't pretend and I respect him for that to this day as hard as it is for me. -befriend yourself and you will never be alone- |

Hi, just a quick add on to the good points already made. If you are sure he is not right for you, then you gotta do it, and you did. I find myself on the other side of this fence. He claims that to stay friends is fine, but we cannot be a "couple". I endured this last year, just being a friend, always there when he needed someone. Then we reunited, and he again, tossed the same thing at me a week later. So just be sure, if you don't think he is right for you, and I guess you can have no regrets. Though I find myself wishing I could turn HIM into a toad. LOL to Serenity. Good luck, and I hope the right one comes to you and you appreciate eachother totally. Sandra |

whoa i posted this a while ago, I was surprised to see it again. Well, I broke up with him because I knew he wasnt the one for me. He had two sides to him, I fell in love with the person he pretended to be. Then he began to change and show his true colors later on and I was already in love with the side of him that he had shown me... So I couldnt bare to be with someone who only treated me good half the times. Its all or nothing. Currently, I'm over him, single and lovin it. I know you guys don't get to hear his side of the story, but his side really isnt valid since he is in jail now for a crime he committed. Thats where he deserves to be. p.s. I called myself a witch 'cuz it was halloween when i posted this : ) |
